Old Crime Meets New Crime | The Gap

The Gap is a window into different lives and different generations.
Two people, of vastly different ages, discuss a shared experience that impacted their lives, how it affected them and how they dealt with it to ultimately emerge stronger.
In this episode of The Gap, Noel, a former bank robber, sits down with Cornai, a former drug dealer, to talk about their lives as criminals. Through their conversation we learn about the way in which both men protected themselves from violence, the things that kept them sane behind bars, and the opportunities that gave them a second chance.

The young kid isn't really a criminal. Like he's just a not so smart kid who wasn't educated properly. The old man is a true criminal, the way he speaks, he totaly knew what he was doing. Knew the risks, went with it anyway, could've been a good contribution to society if he chose so, I guess.

Why is the kid that walks with a pocket knife speaking for this generation an the man that walks with 2 guns a taser and a knife speaking for his? “When I went from 2 to 10 packs” vs “when you mask is half way down” lmaoo this is unfair can we get an actual representative for this generation ?

I get that you're all easily impressed but I would rather spare my compliments for people that have always been honest, yeah, it's good that they decided to turn over a new leaf but from here to say that "the old dude has balls", "he looks like a movie gangster" or "a retired John Wick" as if it was cool, no, it's not cool, his past is not cool, these guys harmed others one way or the other for their own good. Praise people that didn't need to stal from others, praise people that always had respect regardless of their background.

Investing differences in culture to the states. Here every 12 year old has a knife lol. And guns aren't taboo at all for a lot of folks. I was shooting guns unsupervised , with friends when I was 13. Pistols to. As long as you were away from the city and had the land to do it. Aks,m16s, shotguns, high caliber hunting rifles. We knew him safety and it was just a fun time.

As the son a of crime prevention officer you can tell that the young lad was failed by the education system. It teaches you how to annotate a poem and not how to buy a house, get a job or pay your taxes. People resort to crime becuase you don't know how to live by the law if your not taught how to.
